Frequently
Asked
Questions
What is Online Psychotherapy?
Online psychotherapy is traditional cognitive
behavioral psychotherapy conducted online via
video conferencing.

What do I need?
A webcam.
A high speed internet connection (DSL or cable).
Nothing else is needed.

Is this different from traditional
psychotherapy?
This IS traditional psychotherapy.  The only difference
is that we are not in the same physical room.  But
this is counseling, just as if you had traveled across
town and walked into my office.   The fact that you
are in your own home or office increases your comfort
level and actually makes the process more effective.

What about security?
Counseling is a private and confidential experience
Sessions are conducted over a secure line on a secure
platform over a secure connection. Privacy and
confidentiality is paramount in this process.

Are you licensed?
Yes.  I am licensed as a LCSW in the state of New
York, the states highest level of licensure.   I have
over 15 years experience as a therapist.  I am a
member of the National Association of Social
Workers and I am fully insured.

Pricing?
In my office in New York, I charge between $150 and
$200  per session.  However as online therapy reduces
my costs, I am able to lower the fee to $100 per
session.  This fee is paid
online at the time of service via PayPal.  You can use
your credit card or checking account.

At this time I am not working with any insurance
companies  but I am able to provide an invoice of
services for you to submit to your insurance
company for possible access of out of network
benefits.
